From the station the path rises up a grassy hill to Coombe Hill, the highest point on the Chiltern range, with fine views. We then go through quiet eerie woods to Dunsmore village and up and down over fields and more woods which open to views of Chequers, the PM's country house. After a picnic lunch the path leads down over flower-rich chalk grassland to charming Ellesborough church for afternoon tea and cakes. Plus a loo! Then through fields back to the station.
