We are the West Berkshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This 4 mile walk starts from the Woolhampton village Hall car park off the A4 . The first 15 minutes are on a lane gently up hill passing Hall Court Farm to Channel Wood. Then on to Kiff Green and across fields to High Wood returning to Douai Abbey then through the Abbey recreation field to the church at Upper Woolhampton, on to Elstree school and Woolhampton park returning to the village hall for our picnics.
Numbers are unrestricted but you do need to have booked for the picnic.
Bring a drink for the walk but the usual 11's are not planned for this walk as we have the picnic to look forward to and its a short walk.
The going is mostly good but there are some wet areas gaiters are recommended
Woolhampton Village Hall is on the right of the A4 if driving from Thatcham. Its a new looking building set back from the road with its own drive and car park.
