Please join the Berkshire Walkers for another night of live classical music, this time at All Saints church, central Wokingham. Aldworth Philharmonic - an amateur, Reading-based orchestra - have been performing concerts for over 20 years at venues in Berkshire. Steve (organiser) has seen them play at least 15 of those years! At this latest concert they’ll play these pieces:
- Alexander Borodin - Prince Igor Overture
- Frederick Delius - The Walk to the Paradise Garden
- Claude Debussy - Petite Suite
- Alexander Borodin - Symphony No. 2
Tickets for a seat / spot in a pew are unreserved, so please BOOK YOUR OWN here - https://www.aldworthphilharmonic.org.uk - and then EMAIL Steve to let him know you are coming.
There is an option to book as a Concert Virgin (first experience of live music) if you want. Even if it IS your first concert I’d still recommend paying full price for the ticket as they’re £15 - pretty reasonable for this type of concert - and the fee helps the orchestra keep going.
We’ll meet at 7:15pm outside All Saints main entrance, with the concert starting at 7:30. The church is a short walk from the high st (allow 15 minutes from the train station). We’ll probably go for a drink at a pub in Wokingham at the end of the concert too.
