Overview

Starting from Station Road car park, Callander, FK17 8DT, we head up through woodland, where the path is on a steep incline, but taking an easy pace up to the top of the Crags, and the Jubilee Cairn (343m).  From there on a clear day you will get brilliant views over Callander and the surrounding hills.

We will then continue along the top of the crags before heading downhill to meet the minor road to walk along to cross the bridge over the Keltie Water.  We will continue following the path back uphill through the forestry track before dropping back down into the Brackland Glen, alongside the water to the Bracklinn Falls.

From there we will return via Auchenlaich Hillfort, heading back uphill to pick up forestry woodland paths back into Callander.

This is a Grade B Walk, and is approx. 7miles/11.5km, at a moderate pace.  Overall ascent 476m.

Car parking charges apply: £3.20
