Starting from Drumclog Moor parking, Mugdock Reservoir this is a nice circular walk via Milngavie Golf Club. Before joining onto the WHW path for a short distance, we will have a quick tea break, and then wander through the golf course to pick up route past Laighpark farm and on a small section of the Clyde Coastal Path. On crossing Stockiemuir Road we turn up by the school along the burn and follow the edge of the field up to the top gate to continue up the minor road, before turning off by the pylons. We head up past the WW shelter in the field and aim for the treeline, and continue up to Jesus' Thimble and the trig (this refers to a distinctively shaped rock formation or cairn in the eastern edge of the Kilpatrick Hills). We will stop here for our lunch, before we continue to pass the end of Lucifer's Loch, and up to the cairn, before heading back downhill towards the pylons and walk past Carneddans Wood to retrace our steps back to car park. Note: some of the paths on the hillside could be muddy.
We have an option after the walk to drive 1km along to Mugdock Country Park for refreshments and cake before returning home.
