Join Forth Valley Young Walkers group for a walk up Mullach Clach a' Bhlàir munro including the Munro tops. Glen Feshie makes a lovely approach to Mullach Clach a'Bhlàir, whose cairn stands towards the southwestern edge of the great Moine Mhòr plateau. Much of the ascent is on a vehicle track but there are great views down into the twisting cleft of Coire Garbhlach.
This walk is weather dependent and may be cancelled at short notice, please check back the day before.
Terrain: Burn crossing near the start can be impassable in flood. The ascent of the peak is straightforward, mostly on a track, but the plateau can be difficult to navigate in poor conditions. Descent follows a rougher ATV track; parts of this are eroded, another is boggy, final stretch a little overgrown.
You'll need full waterproofs, water, plenty of warm layers, proper grippy footwear and a reasonable level of fitness. An idea of what you could include in your personal kit list can be found here: https://www.ramblers.org.uk/news/blogs/2018/march/packing-your-kit.aspx
Please do get in touch if you've any questions. The walk is for over-18s, unless you're accompanied by a responsible adult.
In the event of extreme weather, we may take an alternative route. I will take that decision at least two days in advance - and notify attendees.
Please also bring your Ramblers Membership Card or download the Ramblers app which includes a QR code of your membership (if you are a member) as we'll be using the Ramblers walk registration app. If you're not yet a member, you're very welcome to come and we can register you as a guest :)
You can attend three Ramblers walks for free to see if it's for you before joining. More details at www.ramblers.org.uk/scotland
