This is a High Weald Walking Festival walk, organised by the Rother Ramblers.
A circular route from Horsmonden to Goudhurst and back, taking in lovely scenery, alongside orchards, fields, on footpaths and a short distance along roads.
It is a moderate level walk of 8 miles and 800ft ascent. See link for further details.
We will discuss the notorious Hawkhurst Gang of 1747 and what transpired in Goudhurst.
