We are the Winchester Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a walk through woodland, fields and country lanes passing through the villages of West Winterslow, Pitton, Farley and West Dean, with historical interest en route.
Recent wet weather will no doubt mean some muddy paths, so poles would be a good idea if you use them. There is a chalky descent and a short steep ascent at Pitton.
Bring a picnic lunch, drinks and snacks as required.
Please let the leader know you are coming as we may leave early if all expected have arrived.
Bentley Wood Eastern Car Park. From West Dean, take Dean Road for just over 1 mile, then turn left into Scouts Lane. The entrance to Bentley Wood is about 0.4 miles along on the left and the car park about 0.4 miles in on the right.
