We are the Winchester Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This undulating walk takes us along the edge of Stockbridge Down, through Leckford Golf Course and along the Test Way for a short distance before crossing a very picturesque part of the river en route to Longstock. Heading uphill on a wide track, we then visit Danebury Hill Fort, walking round the inner circle before stopping for a picnic lunch with far reaching views. We make our way back via Houghton Down and Stockbridge High Street.
