Overview

This is a gentle walk with very little incline on good paths with one stile at Battery Dykes.
Leaving the Square we will walk down to the Abbey, take the path alongside the Abbey and proceed up towards the old railway line track to Newstead Village. We will circuit the village then proceed down Eddy Road to the Tweed to finish with a lovely wander alongside the river returning to Melrose.
We will have a snack stop at the new seats in Newstead and drink stops as required.
