Overview

A leisurely circular walk alongside the Rivers Tweed & Teviot, passing Scotland’s ancient Capital. We pass the site of the original Roxburgh town and Castle.

Terrain: About 1 mile of pavement walking alongside a main road on both the outward and return journeys. Riverside grass paths, returning along a disused railway track. The path beside the river is quite good – in places it is close to the water’s edge with trip hazards such as stones and tree roots in the path.
