The walk is a flat nearly 6m mile walk along the road past Fullerton Mill and the John Lewis water gardens and garden centre. Then we cross fields to Longstock village and return along the disused railway line. There are no stiles.
The pub will be open by 10 when we arrive and we can pre order lunch. They have not been asked to reserve a table as last year some people preferred to eat outside.
The Mayfly, Chilbolton, STOCKBRIDGE, SO20 6AX (If you go to Chilbolton continue past the Abbots Mitre for three-quarters of a mile and then turn right and cross the river after the West Downs Nature Reserve).
