Please join me for this circular walk of just under 9 miles in the heart of the New Forest. Starting at Fritham, it’s still a bit squidgy in patches but most of the walk is on high ground so wasn’t too bad even during the worst of the wet weather. The walk is a mixture of forest and moorland with some gentle inclines but no stiles. The morning walk is about 5 miles with a stop for coffee midway. Lunch is at the High Corner Inn or a picnic nearby. The afternoon mainly sticks to good, easy paths as we make our way back to Fritham.
Please let me have your lunch order by midday Tuesday. The menu can be found on their website or just google ‘high corner inn’.
Walking poles are probably advisable as it may be a bit slippery in places particularly near any streams.
We will be starting at 10 from the main Fritham car park, straight up the track and then left after the Royal Oak Pub.
