We are the East Staffordshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in the East Staffordshire area to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From Lower Ellastone we walk along a bridleway and fields following The Dove to Church Mayfield, stopping at ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH for coffee and some interesting history. We continue to follow The Dove for a short distance then proceed over fields to Snelston, before we arrive in Roston we will break for lunch on higher ground. Our final Ancient Village is Norbury, we pass by Norbury Hall and Norbury Station then arrive at the starting point.
PLEASE NOTE - some areas will be muddy and fields may be slightly flooded.
PARK ON THE ROAD just before or after (depending what direction you’re heading from) the bridge.
