Overview

We start our walk at Carlton Lees on the Chatsworth Estate (taking advantage of free parking), heading out towards Bakewell before dropping down to the Monsal Trail for a short way. We then head off on paths that take us along the back of the Haddon Hall estate, eventually dropping down to Rowsley.

At this point if you want a slightly shorter walk you can self guide back to the car park on the Derwent Valley Way (this makes the walk around 8.75 miles).  The longer walk will continue through Rowsley and towards Rowsley woods before dropping down to Beeley and back to the car park (around 10.5 miles)
