This is part of my "Lacey Green Loops" series of walks around our group's "adopted" parish of Lacey Green.
This is a short walk of is 5 miles, undulating with 580 ft (175m) of ascent/descent. We'll be exploring the countryside around the Chiltern village of Speen. A walk of 4 miles, stopping for an early packed lunch (if needed) along the way will bring us to the Horse Trust for retired and rescued horses and ponies, where we can look round and visit the tea rooms for early afternoon tea. (£1 entry per person for those arriving on foot, https://horsetrust.org.uk/)
It's then a short walk of 1 mile back to the parked cars.
Well behaved dogs are allowed. In particular, as we are visiting The Horse Trust: "Dogs are welcome, providing they are well behaved, are kept on a lead at all times and are comfortable with horses". Leisurely to moderate pace.
