For anyone new to this walk it includes a respectful visit to the memorial and (pictured) 1945 crash site of 24 year old Warrant Officer Herbert Noga from No 316 (Polish) Squadron RAF who was killed when his Mustang Mk. 111 crashed on Darwen Moor in low cloud and mist after engine failure.
