Overview

Linear to Custom House Station led by Stephen R (Mobile on the day only: 07540 437466). A fairly level steady-paced stile and mud free walk mostly on paved paths. Through varied urban landscapes including ruined Lesnes Abbey, Thamesmead and along a rather tedious 1½ mile stretch of the Thames Path. Lunch at Woolwich Arsenal; cafés, ‘The Dial Arch’ pub or bring a picnic. Then cross the Thames by the Woolwich foot tunnel, through the University of East London campus and Beckton Park to Custom House Station. Drop out possible after 5½ miles at Woolwich.
