A moderate-paced circular walk led by Nigel S (Mobile No: 07793 629809). Ridgeway Trail, 5,000 years old, undulates to Ivinghoe Beacon, 233m, wide views; Icknield Way; Dockey Wood, picnic lunch bring own food. This wood is on the National Trust’s Ashridge Estate and is managed by the NT so that Bluebells can be seen at their best. There is a small (£3.50) entry charge, free to NT members. Then south through woods to the BridgewaterMonument: café and toilets. The route descends to the attractive village of Aldbury. A level path through fields returns to Tring Station.
