Overview

Meet on the Reynolds Memorial Playing Field opposite the Walnut Tree pub and near the Village Hall. Please park considerately on nearby roads – not in the pub or Village Hall car parks.

The walk follows the Saxon Shore Way across farmland and along the crest of the slopes overlooking Romney Marsh and with views to The Channel to reach the hamlet of Court at Street. We’ll then turn inland to Harringe Place and return to Aldington across the old Aldington point to point racecourse and Church Lane. The walk is undulating so there are some slopes but we’ll maintain a leisurely pace.

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome but there may be some stiles which are not dog-friendly and there will be livestock along the route. Please bring a snack and a drink if you wish. There are refreshment opportunities on our return at The Walnut Tree or at the Quarry House Tea Room.
