Overview

We start at St Margaret’s Village Hall (where the AGM will be held later). There are toilets in the adjacent car park.

The route will pass South Foreland Lighthouse and via a track heading towards the National Trust Visitor Centre before joining the aptly named White Cliffs Country Trail along the cliff top and heading back towards St Margaret’s. At St Margaret’s we will pass the Pines Garden where there is an opportunity for coffee (and maybe a cake!) and to visit the memorial bench in memory of Margaret Lubbock. After refreshments, the route will head towards the Dover Patrol Memorial before heading back towards St Margaret’s Village Hall.

For those who wish a shorter walk, (approx 4 miles), there is an opportunity to head back to the village hall on a more direct route just after the Pines Garden Cafe.
