An easy, mostly flat figure-of-eight walk of around 5 miles. Starting from the War Memorial in Alrewas, we walk along a section of the Trent & Mersey Canal, on the National Forest Way, leaving the canal at Wychnor to walk along the lane to Wychnor Park for our coffee stop, where we join the Millennium Way. We descend to the flood plain, rejoin the canal towpath as far as Bagnall Lock, then walk to Daisy Lane before crossing fields back to the village.
There are 4 stiles. Refreshments available after the walk at a choice of locations.

Meet at Wyndley Swimming Pool car park 09:15 for car sharing. Directions to Main Street, Alrewas: Take the A38 in the direction of Burton/Derby. Take the A513 exit towards Alrewas/Tamworth. Continue straight onto Rykneld Street. Turn left onto Main Street. Park on the roadside. Walk starts from the War Memorial.
