An additional short walk to welcome a visitor from Cumbria to the Peak District. Please come along if you are free. It is a repeat of the route archived on our website (25/09/24). The walk will commence from Alstonefield and encompass Milldale, Ilam Rock, Hall Dale and Stanshope. We may be too late to see the snowdrops at their best, but hopefully the daffodils will be out in bloom.
A moderate undulating walk where care will need to be taken if the weather is inclement due to limestone paths. One steep decent via a field pathway into Milldale can be avoided if desired.
Snacks, gaiters and walking poles recommended.
Please bring along your ICE card and any necessary medication. Additional ICE cards available from walk leader.
Car parking available at The Village Hall, Beresford Lane, DE6 2FR (///walked.pursuit.reported) - gratuity box and Lode Lane (///bulldozer.create.husky) - pay & display.
