Welcome to Market Drayton Ramblers. We walk in Shropshire and the surrounding counties. There are walks every Sunday (8 - 10 miles) and Tuesday (5 - 7 miles).
9 miles classic mountain walk with excellent views. 1,900ft ascent. There are some rough rocky sections but also plenty of easy walking. After a road section the route ascends to Llyn Arenig Fawr, climbs a ridge and then across a flat section before the main ascent to the summit. The descent is via the col below Moel Lyfnant and a track which descends gradually back to the road.

Parking in the layby near Arenig Quarry. From the A4212 in Bala after 0.6 miles take left slip road signposted Rhyduchaf and Llidiardau and then continue to Arenig and quarry.
