A mix of local footpaths and roaming on the heath through woodland and open countryside.
Meeting in the ticket hall at the station at 10:30
This walk begins and ends at Finchley Road underground station. It is a mixture of street footpath walking with a climb up to Hampstead Heath, Kenwood House and across to Parliament Hill Fields with a descent back to the station. No stiles but a few roads to cross.
It is a hilly walk and should the forecast be for 25 degrees or more, then it may be postponed for another date.
Water and a hat are advisable along with walking shoes, walking boots should not be necessary.
No dogs or children thank you.
Toilets are available near the station in the small shopping centre, at Kenwood House and close by the Men's pond on the Heath.
No pub booked for lunch but some coffee shops/eateries are available in the Finchley Road/Swiss Cottage area.
