The walk starts from the Royal Standard at Wooburn Common and descends to the Thames at Bourne End. Crossing at the railway bridge, the route then follows the Thames to Cookham. After crossing at Cookham Bridge, we then climb back to the pub at Wooburn Common.
We will take a break at Cookham Holy Trinity Church about 200 yards from the public toilets. Both the descent and the ascent are long but not steep. At the start and end there are some sections of road walking.
Please park at the rear of the pub car park.
