A hilly walk at a brisk pace over the South Downs over Barpham Hill and along “Windy Ridge” and via Burpham. Some steep hills and uneven surfaces. Please use toilets on the train. There are facilities at Arundel station but it cannot be guaranteed that they will be open. No loos en route before lunch time.
Lunch: bring picnic - pub for drinks/loos only at Burpham. There are benches in and around the churchyard.
Train/transport details: Victoria 08:35; Clapham Junction 08:42; East Croydon 08:53 (Bognor Regis train). Buy return to Arundel.
