CANCELLED DUE TO ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS.
A relatively rare opportunity to visit Ash Ranges - MoD land generally closed to public access during the day.  Site managed by Surrey Wildlife Trust.  "Surrey heathland as it used to be".   Village and woodland walk, giving way to Surrey heathland.  Midway viewpoint looking south across the ranges and towards the Hogs Back and beyond.  Binoculars might be handy.

The walk starts in Normandy village, crosses wooded common land climbing up to open heathland, with access to the ranges through MoD gates.  Some short steep sections, boots and sticks recommended.  One road crossing.
