We are the Wakefield and District Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
An easy, almost level walk with a few a stiles but lots of slippery mud, unless it dries out within a week! Some urban walking and one short stretch along a busy road but mainly enjoying the arable countryside around Ackworth. Includes part of the Wakefield Way.
We usually have a short refreshment stop in the morning with a picnic lunch approximately half way, subject to a suitable spot.
Optional visit to the pub at the end, tea and coffee available.
