Overview

A journey through Swansea’s Industrial and Mercantile Past.

Swansea was a great world centre of Copper smelting from the 1720s.

Why was there no real Dock until 1852?

And what happened after that?

A free walk and talk by:

Professor John France, Professor Emeritus, Swansea University.

A Gentle Walk with lots of stops.  Will take about 2 hours.

See photos and videos of John’s previous Copperopolis walk.
