We are the Derbyshire Dales Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We start this adventure from Baslow Church, cross the Derwent then follow a route through Bubnell and up to Bramley Woods. We then descend to the picturesque village of Calver, then return to the Derwent river at Froggatt before returning to Baslow. The Derwent, the Edges, and delightful villages en route: what more could we ask for?
The leader describes the walk as fairly flat with one fairly gentle incline and one fairly steep descent.
Please note no dogs except assistance dogs as there is a possibility of walking through fields with cows and calves.
MEET at Baslow Church. Street parking in Baslow village (School Lane, Eaton Hill or Bubnell Lane probably best bets) or in the car park by the Village Hall (This is a DDCC car park and is Pay and Display: £6.80 per day). This car park is 10-15 minutes from the start point. Toilets available here. The grid reference for the car park is SK258721. Please refer to map to work out directions to Baslow Church.
