Overview

This is a ramble on both sides of the Derwent Valley. We start from Belper Coppice car park, walk through various  jitties to Long Row in the heart of the Belper Mills area and then make our way up to the Chevin at Farnah Green. The Chevin is believed to be part of the ancient Portway, an ancient track from Nottingham to Mam Tor and beyond. Our return is via Milford and Makeney.
