Overview

A walk around the attractive heathland and surrounding countryside of the National Trust managed, Larkton Hill with long views to North Wales, Liverpool and across the Cheshire plain towards the Peak District on a clear day. Good established tracks over the sandstone ridge extending across grass fields with some stiles and linking minor roads. Some manageable short climbs up and down stone steps and slopes. The pace will take account of the comfort of the group. Refreshments available afterwards at the Bickerton Poacher, Wrexham Road, Bulkley, SY14 8BE . 1150 ft asc. Tel 07807621929.
