Jean from Bath Ramblers has invited us to share this walk.  It is a mostly flat dog friendly walk passing along the Railway Path, through fields, Bitton, Upton Cheyney, and Swineford, and then back alongside a beautiful stretch of the River Avon .
If driving, please allow time to find a parking space at Bitton Station, or on one of the adjoining roads. There are toilets at Bitton Station.
Number 19 bus from Bath bus station at 09.25 passes nearby (Cherry Garden Road) at 09.55. Number 45 bus from Bristol Nelson Street at 09.33 passes nearby (Kenilworth Drive) at 10.08.
Please bring a drink and snack for a refreshment stop almost half way round, at the Swineford picnic site.
No stiles, but It could be muddy in places. Walking boots are recommended, and you may find walking poles helpful. Please bring your ICE (In Case of Emergency) card, or ask the leader for one.
After the walk, the buffet at Bitton Station will be open for refreshments and hot food.
