Bosham to Emsworth flexi walk

This is a flexi walk because it is tide dependent. Chichester Harbour have said the path at Cobnor Point will be " probably passable" so be prepared to retrace your steps if necessary. Hopefully we won't have to do any light wading! The ideal path takes us round Chidham peninsula to Prinsted and then inland to Emsworth where there are plentiful places for refreshment etc. This is 9.9 miles but completely flat. The alternative route which has not been pre walked cuts across the peninsula using footpaths and lanes but still includes some coastal walking. This walk will be just under 8 miles. The walk is exposed so bring plenty of water and sun protection and check the website in event of poor weather in case of last minute cancellation
Transport
The 9.43 train from Brighton changing at Barnham will arrive at Bosham at 10.44. Please buy a return to Emsworth 12. 15 with a railcard. This train stops at Hove and Shoreham but not at Aldrington.
If coming by car, there is free parking at Bosham station and you then catch a bus or train back from Emsworth. If you are not travelling by the 9.43 train , please let the leader know you are attending.
