We are the Guildford Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Taking advantage of it being the mid-summer weekend we'll be going a bit further than usual to enjoy a delightful walk around the Chichester Channel with the smell of the briny air, the constant company of colourful yachts and distant views across the water. Starting from Bosham the walk involves a vey short ferry crossing to West Itchenor (cost £3). There are no gradients or stiles and no main roads to cross.
Any type of sensible footwear should be adequate. Please bring a picnic, although we will be passing pubs and other sources of food and drink. Not sure if the ferry boat takes card payments so bring some change with you.
This is the large car park off Anchor Lane and Bosham Lane in Bosham. It is a Chichester District Council car park which has 379 spaces and the cost is £4.80 for up to six hours, which should be more than enough time.
