Overview

With the daylight hours longer, we start our series of 2026 evening walks with a 5.5 mile route that starts from Boughton Lees. This short walk is a good one, on what will hopefully be a balmy summer evening, as it enjoys a decent climb to King's Wood.

We join the North Downs Way (NDW), before a steady ascent via Warren Farm, crossing White Hill to reach the southern edge of King's Wood. The second half of this enjoyable stretch of the legs, enters Jackets Field, giving us fine views, before we once again join the NDW en route back to Boughton Lees.

The Flying Horse, opposite the cricket pitch is useful for those who wish a post walk drink, it would therefore be rude not to indulge.

Dogs welcome, but on short lead when required.

Walk leader is Kevin Hall
