Overview

Led by Steve Bellamy and Linda Flavell. Starting in Braithwaite village, tackling the classic ascent of Grisedale Pike via Sleet How, along the ridge to Hopegill Head and descend via Sand Hill to Coledale Hause. Return past the mines and along Coledale Beck. Two Wainwrights for those who are interested.Good views (subject to weather). Classed as stren mainly due to ascent but over mostly good, well trodden paths. Some exposure.For those using the bus meet at Booths for the X5 bus to Cockermouth/Workington @ 09:37 to arrive Braithwaite @ 09:45. Return by bus to Keswick.There is parking in Braithwaite if you prefer to travel by car . 3000 ft asc. Tel 07885539537. Please book for this walk in the Walks Programme. Maximum bookings 30.
