This is a mountain walk so not for the faint hearted! Start at car park in Buckden, ascend Buckden Rake before turning to climb via Cow Close to the Buckden Pike summit at 702m. Then walk along ridge path to Polish War memorial before turning to begin descent down Starbotton Fell, across Starbotton Out Moor and then down Starbotton Cam Road into Starbotton. Cross the Wharf in Starbotton to pick up Dales Way back to Buckden beside the river.
The ascent in places is both steep and likely to be muddy. The descent is also steep in places. Gaiters and walking poles are advisable.
