From Errwood Hall car park we will go up to Shining Tor and along the ridge to Pym Chair. There are good views on a clear day. We then leave the ridge to take a quiet road to Jenkin Chapel. From here we take paths and tracks to Dunge Farm and Taxal Edge and follow the Midshires Way briefly before taking a path along Fernilee Reservoir and returning to Elwood Hall.
The ascents on the walk are steady and not steep and the paths and track are mostly good.
This is a car ramble. We will meet to share cars at Knowle Lane bus stop on Ecclesall Road South. There is parking on Knowle Lane and Millhouses Lane. The 08.30 218 and 272 buses from the interchange arrive 08.50. We will set out for Errwood Hall car park at 09.00.
