Overview

Commencing with a section of the Greensand Way the route firstly heads west to take in the interesting levels, the farmland approaching Buckland and the very attractive Wonham Mill. The route then heads towards the low level and varied easterly paths of the North Downs for a coffee stop prior to using both the North Downs Way and the Pilgrims Way on the lower reaches of the North Downs for the return to Flanchford Road.

The paths and tracks are all drying out and improving. The North Downs Way itself remains damp and slippery in some areas and includes various dips and peaks that require careful footing and the possible use of walking poles. Otherwise, the route avoids steep and long ascents and descents and with a starting point of 81ft above sea level rises to a maximum of 145ft.
