A mixture of farmland, woods and valleys with good views to the south, west, north and east (weather permitting*).
The middle part of the walk on open ground provides extensive views of the distant downs*.
Note: This walk is a complimentary one to the recent one, also starting at Buckland Dinham, but covers a different area.
There may well be some muddy paths, so appropriate footwear is necessary. It’s hill country but without prolonged uphill sections. Walking poles may be useful.
A main road is crossed twice but otherwise footpaths and lanes are used.
