This walk takes us through parts of Burnham Beeches Nature Reserve, Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), then via Hedgerley and Fulmer villages to Stoke Common and back.
From Burnham Beeches main car park, we skirt Middle and Upper Pond before heading out of the SSSI through Whitespark and Staplefurze Woods to take the route through Pennlands to Hedgerley for a short break. Immediately by Church Wood we take the path through Hanging Wood, skirt the Pickeridge and head to Fulmer for lunch. After lunch we cross Stoke Common and head back to Burnham Beeches via Brockhurst Wood and Farnham Common.
We will walk at a moderateto brisk pace along well-defined paths including Beeches Way and Shakespeare’s Way. The terrain is mainly undulating with only three short inclines.
Bring refreshments and packed lunch. Toilets available at the start. Option for a refreshment stop at the café at the end of the walk.
