Overview
Train based walk
Please add the following to Meetup!
Existing members of Ramblers will already know what they need to bring, and what to expect. But for those new to walking, please bear the following in mind. In December, it is likely to be cold and wet, we are walking some distance, and we need to get back before dark. Many of the paths will be muddy ,and there are some steep and slippy ascents and descents. So, please wear waterproof walking boots/shoes, bring a waterproof coat and over-trousers, plenty of warm layers, gloves and hat! Bring sufficient water and food! Anyone without these things will not be taken on the walk.
There are no bailout points served by public transport after 2 to 3 miles into the walk.
Leader: Jim M
