Overview

Join us for a 8 or 11 mile walk from Cadmore End, North of Marlow for a scenic hilly countryside walk with views over West Wycombe.  The walk starts at 10:30 am from the roadside parking area on Church Road, Cadmore End.  If arriving from Marlow direction, turn left off the Marlow Road, just after passing the Cadmore End School.

This walk has two loops, firstly to the North, with views across to the Dashwood Mauseleum and the hill top St Lawrences' Church.  We'll then pass through Sands Bank nature reserve, and look out for the semi-rural Adams Park stadium, home to Wycombe Wanderers.   We'll find a suitable spot for lunch before heading through the woods towards Wheeler End and Cadmore End Common.  Then we drop downhill, starting our second loop, heading South towards Fingest, off the Hambledon valley.

The 8 mile route involves about 1/2 mile flat walking along the pavement back to the car park after lunch & after we've crossed Cadmore End Common.  Choosing this option misses off the loop down to Fingest, and the final hill.

For those doing the full 11 miles, we might pause in Fingest to visit the Chequers inn before our route takes us back up through the woods to Cadmore End.
