Overview

This circular 5-mile moderate walk is Walk 36 from Shrewsbury Ramblers' second walks book, starting at Cardington Village Hall. The route goes on field paths and some stone tracks to the Wilderness below Caer Caradoc and the Battle Stones on Willstone Hill with panoramic views over the South Shropshire hills. There will be a chance to have a post-walk drink in the lovely old pub, The Royal Oak. Please bring walking poles and gaiters in case of mud. Please book with walk leader by text only.
