Overview

Leaving Castle Cary along the Macmillan Way, using tracks and lanes, we will head towards Galhampton and on to North Cadbury.  Picking up the Monarch’s Way, we start the return route, heading to the pretty village of Yarlington (lunch stop).  Then along Yarlington Sleights and returning to Castle Cary via Lodge Hill, with great views over the town and past the site of the castle that gives the town its name.  A varied and sometimes hilly walk with good views over the Somerset countryside.  Two refreshment stops.
