Overview

This is a 9.6-mile always popular walk that starts from Challock Village Hall car park, and takes in Eastwell Park, Boughton Lees, Boughton Aluph, Soakham Downs and King's Wood.

The route passes the idyllically isolated 4th Century St Cosmos and St Damian Challock Church, follows a section of the North Downs Way, and the hill climb is rewarded by lovely views across to Wye.

There will be the usual snack/drinks break en route, the Stag (formerly the Halfway House in Challock, is also useful for refreshment post walk. The route crosses the A251 and there are several stiles and livestock in fields, so not suitable for dogs.
