This is a semi-urban walk with an opportunity to view the varied housing stock around the pretty town of Southwell. The ramble could be virtually mud-free as we will mostly be on pavements and quiet country lanes but there will be some steep hills to negotiate. We will have many views of the beautiful Minster and if you have your trainers you could even try out the trim- track en route!
There will be a coffee/early lunch/ toilet break at NTU Brackenhurst and festive drinks will be available at the Final Whistle at the end of the walk.
The walk has been classified as 'easy' which means:
'Walks for anyone who does not have a mobility difficulty, a specific health problem or is seriously unfit. Suitable for pushchairs if they can be lifted over occasional obstructions. Comfortable shoes or trainers can be worn.'
But it is 6 miles long and we will walk at a reasonable pace so I'll be in my walking boots.
Please register for this walk on Newark Ramblers website where you will also find details of our car share scheme.
