Will the leaves of the beech trees be a glorious gold this Wednesday? Will we be too early? Will we be too late? Discover the definitive answer on this circular walk of appx. 11 miles through the fields and woods of the undulating Chiltern Hills around Chesham.
Whatever the trees are doing, you should enjoy wonderful views, numerous kissing gates and a couple of stiles.
Lunch will be in a field overlooking a paddock about half way round. Please bring your own picnic.
The walk begins and ends outside the entrance to Chesham Metropolitan Line station.
If you are coming by car there is a station car park which charges a daily fee of £5. There is also the Chesham Moor free car park but this is not on the route of this walk.
There is a wc at Chesham station.
If you are bringing a dog, please note the route passes through fields where sheep graze and dogs must be on leads.
If you are coming, please confirm to the walk leader using the contact email in the box. You are welcome to join the walk whether or not you are a member of Hillingdon Ramblers but, if you are not, please include in your confirmation message the telephone number of someone who can be contacted in the event of an emergency.
